Song Song Song Children's & Puppet Theatre (SSSCPT) was established on September 28, 1987. It is one of the largest and longest-standing professional children's puppet theaters in Taiwan. It's name in Chinese literally means "nine songs," and presents classic folktales with songs, dancing, and puppets. To symbolize its commitment to promoting Chinese folk culture and to helping children enjoy happy, meaningful childhood, SSSCPT aims to make itself a vital part of contemporary children's life.

SSSCPT has been dedicated to exploring international exchanges in children's theater since its genesis. SSSCPT made its first tour in Europe in 1988, participating or performing in puppet and children’s theater festivals. SSSCPT has since visited numerous countries, including Austria, Germany, the former Yugoslavia, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland, Czech, Slovakia, the United States, Canada, Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, China, and the Ukraine, etc. It has also invited excellent foreign groups and performers. SSSCPT's key development goal is to have Taiwanese children's puppetry be internationalized, professional, delicate, and realistic.

It stages seasonal productions and special performances, which depict a wide range of Chinese folklore, classical children's literature, and contemporary topics. We have had professional stage performances, as well as in-campus and in-community performance, totaling at 108 works, and out of which, 20 were shown internationally.

Furthermore, in order to promote its belief that children's theater is a learning experience, SSSCPT conducts drama workshops for children, teachers, and other interested people. We hope these seed teachers would be able to bring children's puppetry education into families, schools, and communities in the future, making education artistic, art down-to-earth; we wish to open the doorway to hope, happiness, and creativity for all Taiwanese children.
